Louise Booth – Chair of the Broadcasters’ Society

I am the new kid on the block in regards to involvement with Radio Toroa. Currently I am involved with the Library Mix radio show sponsored by the Dunedin Public Libraries. I also host the Citizen’s Advise Bureau four weekly radio shows. Occasionally I appear as a guest on the fortnightly Toastmasters Otago radio show.
I currently am the Blueskin Bay librarian and I am passionate about the concept of community. The Blueskin Bay library is very much the hub of the community. I believe that Radio Toroa is the hubs of the community both for our program makers, other stake holders and of course most importantly our listeners. |

Geoff Barkman – Studio Engineer
| Geoff describes himself as a ‘computer geek’!
Others describe him as that guy who keeps breaking things. Or I wonder if Geoff can fix that? He says “When I grow up, I wanna be on the radio.” Geoff started here in Sept 2007 after spending time at Radio School. And he’s still paying… don’t you just love student loans. |

Jo originally came on while Renée was on maternity leave. She’s now a regular part of the team from 10am -4pm, so if you call the station chances are Jo will be handling your call. |
